In a heated online exchange with US YouTuber Zack Nelson, popularly known as JerryRigEverything, Elon Musk addressed allegations about his child support payments, calling them “extremely generous.” The spat arose amidst ongoing controversies, including claims by his former partner Grimes that he neglects their child and influencer Ashley St Clair’s assertion that she gave birth to Musk’s 13th child.
The debate began when an X user shared Nelson’s critical comment about Musk: “Abandons a 5-month-old. Won’t pay child support for another 3. And leaves the shield behind at a major event… yikes.” Musk responded fiercely, stating, “Jerry is an utter liar. I have always paid extremely generous child support and without any coercion to do so.”
He further added, “Sometimes the mother asked for money vastly in excess of what the children could possibly need, so that needed to be adjudicated.”
Nelson fired back, questioning Musk’s transparency: “Calls me a liar while confirming he’s litigating multiple mothers’ child support payments… as the richest man in the world. In the spirit of transparency Elon – how many kids do you actually have?”
Musk, who has fathered 12 children with three different women, has faced criticism over his parenting. In a recent interview, his father, Errol Musk, called him a “bad father,” claiming that Musk’s first child, who passed away at 10 months old, spent more time with nannies than with his parents.
Musk’s personal life has been under scrutiny, with his relationships spanning marriages to Justine Wilson (mother of six of his children) and Talulah Riley (no children), as well as partnerships with Grimes (three children) and Shivon Zillis (three children). The tech billionaire continues to be a polarizing figure, both for his professional achievements and personal controversies.
